We have heard from a very young age how evil Judas was and how despicable his actions were, and rightfully so. He sold out on his Savior for a lousy 30 silver coins, and sealed the deal with a loving kiss. It was the ultimate in greed and betrayal! Who in their right mind would want to be Just Like Judas? Who indeed.

A CLOSER LOOK IN THE MIRROR
Let's take the 2x4 out of our eye for a minute. Haven't we all, as Christians, betrayed our Savior at one time or another? Whether it be denying him in front of our friends, doubting his exsistance, or even selling him out for worldly gain. Let's face it, we are all as guilty as Judas. Even more so, for we know who Jesus really is and what he has done for us, and sin anyway. Paul said "When I want to do good, evil is right there with me...who will save me from this body of death?"

WHERE IS THE HOPE?
Peter denied Jesus. Thomas doubted Jesus. Judas betrayed Jesus. WE have done all three. Who will save us? Paul answered his own question:"Thanks be to God through our Lord Jesus Christ!" Paul, Peter and Thomas realized that nothing you have done is more powerful than the saving grace of God through the power of Jesus' blood. We have all sinned like Judas, but we don't have to die like he did. We can believe that Jesus died for our sins, rose from the dead and sits at God's right hand. He died in our place and set us right with God.
